Spring update 2024
Our event calendar for 2024 is complete and all events and dates can be found here on the website. We have had a great start to the year with full houses at our talks and we look forward to the showing season too. We have a number of very interesting and informative talks planned throughout the year with excellent speakers, three shows, three wine and wander events in three lovely gardens, and a visit planned to a local garden this spring and a coach trip to The Sussex Prairie Garden and Borde Hill this summer. We continue to maintain the lovely Sundial Garden in the heart of the village and have a plant sale organised for the beginning of May. We welcomed a good number of new members last year which is very encouraging for the future of the society. New members are always welcome.
ABOUT US
Charing Gardeners' Society was formed over 125 years ago. During the early years of our society we had just one main event run in a marquee at the Summer Fete.
We are now a thriving society of over 150+ members with friendly people of all levels of abilities and we welcome new members at any time of year at any of our events. We are really pleased to report that there has been a great uptake in membership in recent years and we are especially keen to encourage more children and families to take up gardening and participate in our programme of events.
