Update – November 2021

With the lifting of government guidelines some months ago we have been able to carry on with our events as planned, hopefully for the remainder of the year too. This is great news. The health and safety of our members has been our prime concern during the Covid-19 crisis, and we will continue to monitor government guidelines for future events.

At the beginning of the year, we had several very interesting talks via zoom and an online ‘Gardeners Question Time’.  April saw a virtual Spring Show online too. We also met face to face again after so many months,  in three wonderful gardens, for Wine and Wander events albeit in smaller numbers but just as enjoyable.

In August we were finally able to celebrate the 125-year anniversary of the society with a wonderful summer garden party which was postponed from last year. August also saw us returning to the Church Barn for our first talk in many months. A coach trip to the much-improved RHS gardens at Wisley at the beginning of September and a return to the Parish Hall for our Autumn show and a talk in October meant we were back to normal.

We will meet for our AGM in November and round off the year with a social evening and quiz in December. Planning for next year is underway – so watch this space….

Please keep up to date with events and news through the monthly newsletter page in the ‘Good to Know’ section of the website and here in the calendar pages.
